Just shared this with Flo, new song from the Swedish House Mafia (Axwell, Ingrosso & Steve Angello). That's some great guys and even better music.

Time to get serious
The day's finally here, I'm starting my new job tomorrow. Excited and a bit nervous, but I got some good feelings about this. Time to grow up. I think I'm doing pretty well with my own flat, boyfriend and fulltime job. Student life (especially exchange student of course!) has been amazing, will never forget all my wonderful experiences; but it's time to move on and for a new chapter and it actually feels good.
This last weekend of my summer hols was great. Went to a bar on a hotel's roof terace last Friday, enjoying the sun, good atmosphere and company. Continued on with dinner and drinks with T and some friends. Saturday it was girls night, a friend had us over for some great tapas and even greater desserts.

Rounding up summer hols
Last day of my summer hols before work starts. I celebrated this by heading out in the archipelago, since yesterday was such a gorgeous place. It's a friend's place outside in the Stockholm archipelago and I've been there so many summers now, absolutetly love it - peaceful, gorgeous and simply a piece of heaven.

Having a Gabby day...
Going home from the city, I went down in the same metro I've used this entire summer., so I know the system well. Somehow I thought today this line would take me to a station that's not on the line, but another one and I shouldn't had taken the metro in the first place, but the bus.. Not easy being distracted! Continuing, I tried to pass through the "metro gate" without flipping my metro card. It turns out the bars don't open if you don't!! :-P
Later on I was in the car, on my way to the gym. Got in, dropped the keys in the little storage by the stick (between the seats) and tried to start the engine. Turns out to be hard when the keys are not in...

Stylish
On the pubic transport, heading back home. Got hungry so I bought my fav smoothie. Love "Innocent" and UK brands, they're so funny! Also, look at the pic, gotta match what you drink, right?

Thanks Catalonia
I just want to take this opportunity and THANK Catalonia for being smarter than the rest of Spain, and finally forbidding bull fighting. At least someone in that country realized torturing animals is not entertainment.

How to make Sweden sexy
I was just popping into the TV room where my parents were, and on the TV was my fav. chef, Jamie Oliver. Guess where he was? In Sweden! Exploring our cousine. If someone can make Swedish food sexy, it's him.
Also read the article at The Guardian.

Growing up...
Last summer holiday, last summer job, first 'real' employment. I finally got the job I was fighting for, feels so good. Strange feeling, don't think I've grasped it yet, but I guess it will sink in eventually. Since I was working with demo yesterday in a large superstore, I was doing my best not to scream and freak all the customers out. Anyways, I got some celebration at night with some bubbly with Thomas and my parents.

Cleansing my soul
Completely forgot to blog these days, kinda forgot and haven't had the time. Just some short updates.
Midsummer was great, all Swedes favorite holiday. In my opinion, it's a bit overrated and I always have my yearly anxiety. Anyways, I was up north (most traditional place to be) among lovely people, food, drinks, games, lovely nature and bathing in a hot tub. Can't complain much.
Juan C. Same weekend I came back, I saw Juan Carlos (Babson). So strange but so much fun to see him in Stockholm. I showed him around and treated him the best ice cream in town, think he was pleased.
Why I live in Sweden. This weekend was amazing, gorgeous hot summer days. Was out in the archipellago with the boat and just enjoyed summer, spent the night at a hotel in town and enjoyed some water activies after, a mini holiday!
Cleansing my soul. The good thing about moving a lot is that I get to get rid of things I don't need on a frequent basis. Still, there's no space in my closet but nothing to wear. Found out why today, all the nostalgia things I keep. Hoodies from uni and high school etc. No mercy, bye bye memories. (Kept the Babo t-shirt tho, there are limits!)

A wee sip of kujuice
I wanna dedicate this post to my lovely Maddy who's turning 21 today. Such a young little girl! My short but great trip to Edinburgh was just what I needed to ease my Scottish addiction. Got the best welcoming at the airport where she and Malcolm picked me up and went back to the house for some bubbly and cheese cake, she sure knows how to spoil someone. Thursday was sunny and warm, so we headed out to North Berwick, played freesbe on the beach, had chippies and played in the park (never getting to old for that). My lovely Scotts came over for dinner, great seeing them all. Had plans on going out, but we were too tired after all that fresh air and sun!
Me and Maddy spent the Friday in Edinburgh, shopping, having picknick in the gardens and hanging out in the meadows, just like old times! My nostalgia trip was so high and I was constantly excited. So great to be back, soon again I hope!
When I arrived back in Sweden, I met some friends to watch the parade for the royal wedding. Afterwards we were going for dinner but no matter where we went, the parade and newly wedds were there. Great barrages I must say, leading us just where they wanted all of the time!

Mini Emma?
I couldn't find this commercial on youtube so I simply had to photograph the TV instead, cuz this girl from the Swedish Danonino commercial reminds me of a mini Miss Tett? Small, wise and talking about the benefits of the yoghurt (altho Emma would be better at Dunkin' donuts ;-) ?) Anyone see the resemblance?

National water fight?
The flat is empty again, it has been a great weekend. Couldn't have been better time to show off Sweden, warm and sunny, and everyone's happy out on the city. They seemed pleased but some really random things happened. 1, I learned that Kahlua is a diet suitable for breakfast as well as for parties. Latinos, all I can say. 2, we were walking on the city down by the big church and obviously there's a camel standing in the middle of the park. One of the latinos first camel experience was in Sweden, naturally? 3, yesterday was our national day so we were just out on the town. When we come down to one of the big squares, there is an old school fire truck, having a water fight against 30 crazy kids. In another park, there were about 500 people playing around in the summer heat. Very natural events for Göteborg? I heard some turists mumble, crazy Swedes. Agreed.

Business up and running
B&B Lundgren-Stenberg: Yes, we are up and running again. This time it's 2 Colombian friend's of Åsa and one Swedish girl, they all studied abroad together. It's gonna be a wild weekend, and that suits me perfectly, cuz as of 11 am today, I AM D-O-N-E! SCHOOL'S OUT! Not sure how to feel actually, am I an adult now? Doesn't sound right...

100 % Girly
Things have been blue here lately, or not blue - just booring. Things are lighting up now though, had a productive day, ticking off all the things on my to-do list, got some good news and since the thesis is done, it's time for some Champagne (mine and Åsa's tradition) and we're going with some friends to see SATC 2 tonight. Dress is on, sparkly in the glass, 100 % girly!
