So Scottish

Edinburgh is so international that it is actually hard sometimes to find true Scottish people, however, I've noticed a few things about that Scots:

-Drunk on Mondays. Or any other day for that matter. The pub is always open!
-The kilt, not only for Scottish dancing. Belive it or not but kilts are not that hard to spot every now and then. Most interesting is men who wear it at the rugby game? (The team's merchandise is overrated?) Have to inform (warn) you that elderly men do wear the kilt in the true, traditional way...
- To queue, or not to queue? The answer is, to queue, a lot and everywhere! Swedes are quite famous for our queue systems, nice strait lines, but the Scottish take it to a higher level. I have 2 examples, first- the bus stop. Whoever comes first, will stand first in line, everybody else will nicely stand behind each other, even if it takes up the entire sidewalk! Secondly, in grocery shops, there is one queue, for all cashiers! Yes, it takes up the entire store.
- Aayh, very useful sound that implies that you agree with someone.
- How to make Scottish friends, buy them a pint and say you love Scotland, that's all you need!
- Polite and social. They talk to everyone, everywhere. Also, Scottish are easy to spot on the bus because they are the ones saying cheers to the busdriver to thanks for the ride...
- They eat guts and intestines. Yes, of course I'm talking about the famous traditional dish Haggis. To their defense, I have to say it does't taste that bad but it's mostly the Whiski sause that does it.
- Für Elise. Ok, I'm not sure how Scottish that is, but I get to enjoy the tunes of my favorite piece on the piano from my Scottish flatmate. Either way, I'm happy!
- Toilet paper with aloevera. Ok, it's popular to have aloevera in everything (don't know why you'd need healing plats in dishwashing liquid to clean up yesterday's carbonara?) But anyways, toiletpaper? Like, really?!

Last but not least is my favourite, the warning sign for elderly people! Yes, you better watch out for those old men and women...

Hope you better understand my lovely environment now. Cheers.
